The Association has successfully concluded negotiations and signed a new Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for the Ranchers and Conservancies sector with the Kenya Plantation and Agricultural Workers Union (KPAWU). The agreement will run for the period 2025 to 2027.
The CBA provides for single-digit wage increments in the first and second years of its implementation. This outcome reflects a carefully balanced approach that takes into account the prevailing economic conditions, while safeguarding the welfare of employees and maintaining the sustainability of employers within the sector.
The successful conclusion of the negotiations demonstrates the continued commitment of both parties to constructive social dialogue and stable industrial relations. The agreement is expected to promote harmony, productivity and mutual understanding across the Ranchers and Conservancies subsector during the CBA period.
