Employers Forum

The Agricultural Employers Association (AEA) successfully hosted a two-day Employers Forum on 26th–27th March 2026 at Exotic House, Kericho, bringing together Company Directors, Human Resource Officers, Legal Officers and Industrial Relations Professionals for an engaging dialogue on emerging issues in employment and labour relations in Kenya.
A key highlight of the forum was an insightful session by ELRC Judge Hon. Justice Maureen Onyango, who addressed participants on current trends and emerging jurisprudence shaping employment and labour relations. Her presentation provided practical guidance to employers on navigating compliance obligations, managing workplace disputes and aligning organizational practices with evolving legal standards.
Employers were also brought up to speed on the role of Artificial Intelligence and the modern workplace, with discussions focusing on how organizations can harness digital transformation while remaining compliant with evolving legal and regulatory expectations. The forum further explored strategies for building future-ready workforces equipped with AI, digital and green skills.
The forum provided a valuable platform for interaction between employers and experts, strengthening capacity in handling contemporary workplace challenges while promoting fair and compliant labour practices.
The training was hosted by AEA under the leadership of the CEO, Mr. Wesley Siele, the Legal & Industrial Relations Manager, Ms. Jennifer Wachira, with planning and coordination support from Mr. Robert Ruto the Training and Administration Officer.
AEA remains committed to equipping employers with practical knowledge and tools to foster productive, compliant and forward-looking workplaces.
