Marking a key milestone the Association held it's 63rd Annual General Meeting (AGM)at the most incredible Mwanzo Lounge business park, Naivasha under the theme; CULTIVATING SKILLS FOR CLIMATE -SMART TECH DRIVEN AGRICULTURE.The AGM was successfully delivered achieving full quorum and resolutions to all agenda items.
The AGM commenced with the Chairman's address Mr Kirimi Mpungu, highlighted that agriculture remains one of the largest employers in Kenya and continues to support millions of livelihoods,global market impacting the agricultural sector,and logistic challenges due to high cost of living.
He appreciated members for their continued support, collaboration and partnership.
The Association CEO Mr Wesley Siele stated this year under review was marked by a challenging operating environment driven by economic pressures, climate shocks, rising labour costs and an increasingly complex regulatory landscape.
Despite this the Association remained focused on its core mandate in promoting sustainable workplace relations.
The Chief guest Ms Hellen Apiyo- Commissioner for labour emphasized on the importance of compliance with labour laws, promotion of fair labour practices and supporting initiatives that promote productivity and decent work standards.
The Association also proudly launched the 2026-2030 strategic plan as well as the members digital Platform,through our digitisation partners Mediacent Africa. This platform will significantly ease services access for members.
The Association also conducted elections of the new board members.The members congratulated them as they embarked on their new roles in the Executive Committee.
