The Agricultural Employers Association (AEA) conducted an in-house training at AGC Tenwek Hospital focusing on Mastering Collective Bargaining, Disciplinary Management, Grievance Handling and Emerging Employment Issues.
The training brought together Human Resource practitioners, managers and legal officers, equipping participants with practical knowledge on effective management of Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs), negotiation and consultation with employee representatives, as well as fair and legally compliant disciplinary and grievance-handling procedures.
Participants also explored emerging employment issues, including workplace diversity and inclusion, remote and hybrid work, artificial intelligence, employee wellness, mental health, data privacy and evolving labour legislation.
The sessions incorporated interactive discussions, role plays, case studies and practical exercises to enhance participants’ understanding and application of the topics covered.
The training provided an opportunity for participants to strengthen workplace relations knowledge, improve decision-making in employment matters and promote positive and productive employment relationships.
