
Graduate Apprenticeship Program in Public Relations & Communications (1 Position Available)
Agricultural Employers Association commonly known as AEA was started in 1962 under the Trade Union’s Act Cap 233 as an Association representing the collective interests of employers in the Agricultural industry in matters connected with the Employment of Labour. The Association has over the years evolved to be centre for effective management of members’ Industrial Relations, Mediation, Litigation, HR Consultancy services and Advocacy. It is affiliated to KEPSA, FKE, KAM and ASNET.
Program objectives
The objective of the apprenticeship program Provide hands-on experience in corporate communications and public relations, Develop marketable skills for the modern PR professional and Bridge the gap between academic knowledge and industry practice
Suitable qualified and interested candidates are hereby requested to apply for the opportunities. Kindly note that the successful candidate will be placed in Public Relations and Communication Department for a period of six (6) months with effect from July, 2025.
Basic Requirements;
- Application letter
- Must have completed and graduated with a Diploma or a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and communication from a recognized Institution.
- Copies of academic transcripts.
- Copy of National Identification card.
Eligibility and duration of Apprenticeship
- The apprenticeship will be six (6) months which will be renewable based on performance.
- The apprentice should be an unemployed Kenyan graduate who have completed their diploma or degree course in 2023/2024/2025 and have not been exposed to work experience related.
Duties & Responsibilities
As a PR & Communications Apprentice, you will support the department in the following key areas:
- Assist in dispatching information both internally and externally.
- Assist in creating engaging content for social media, press releases, and newsletters.
- Assist in writing and updating content for websites, blogs, newsletters, brochures, and social media.
- Assist in designing simple graphics to enhance communication materials.
- Assist in Monitoring and engaging with audiences on AEA’s digital platforms e.g X platform, Facebook, linked In, Website and WhatsApp.
- Assist in ensuring Ensure all communications align with the Association branding guidelines.
- Propose creative ideas to enhance Association public image.
