The Agricultural Employers Association (AEA) conducted a two-day open -house training programme on 13th and 14th August 2026 at Tha Nickolee Hotel, Nanyuki, under the Theme: Mastering Employment Contracts Management and Ensuring Compliance in Employment Separations.

The training was facilitated by Mr. Ken Agutu-Human Resource Management Consultant,Retirement and Leadership Coach, Ms. Jennifer Wachira-Head of Legal and IR Services &Ms. Diana Maina   Legal Officer (AEA)who guided participants through key areas of employment contract management and compliance.

AEA continued to strengthen workplace engagement and promote positive industrial relations through workers’ meetings held at Karen Roses and Redwing Roses Limited.

On 12^th August 2026 AEA conducted a workers’ meeting at Karen Roses, bringing together management, employees, union representatives and the AEA representative. The session focused on sensitising workers on the importance and key provisions of the new Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), with emphasis on employees’ rights, responsibilities and the need for effective implementation of the agreement. The meeting also provided an opportunity for the recruitment of shop stewards, including the Shop Steward, Deputy Shop Steward and Secretary. The process was conducted transparently and orderly in the presence of management, the union and AEA.
